Sahara Bâ Program 14:

Irôw Sent Rain To End A Drought

Why are the Beri of DarFur suffering so much today?  I don’t know the answer to that question.  Sometimes bad things happen to us because of our own bad decisions.  Sometimes the bad things happen because of what our leaders do.  But because Irôw loves us, He does not allow us to live comfortably with our sinfulness.  Oftentimes, Irôw sends suffering to the people He loves, so that they will pray more, and purify their hearts from the sinfulness that caused their suffering.

Our lives here on this earth are not very long.  It isn’t important how many camels we own, how much money we have, how big our boutique is, or how many children we have.  What is really important is that we are ready to live with Irôw in His house when we die.  And the only way to live with Irôw, is to have a pure heart.  Irôw knows this, so He provided a way for us to have pure hearts. He does not want us to live in the Fire that is worse than any other fire.  There is no amount of suffering we can go through on this earth that compares to missing God’s mercy and ending up in the Fire.

Our story today is from Irôw’s Book the Tawrat.  It is a story about people just like us, who had turned away from worshiping the true Irôw of this world.  Because of this, Irôw sent a drought to turn their hearts back to him.
