Sahara Bâ Program 17:

The Prophet Who Brought Suffering on Others When He Disobeyed Îrôw

When we are children, our fathers gave us work to do.  Sometimes we enjoyed doing the work they gave us.  Sometimes we were afraid, and did not want to do what our father wanted us to do, so maybe we ran away from home.  Soon the father realizes that the child is gone, and will do his best to find them.  Sometimes he finds the runaway child again, sometimes he doesn’t.  When he finds the child, the father is obliged to punish them, because he loves the child and does not want him or her to bring trouble on his or her head because of his rebelliousness.

In the same way, it is Irôw who gives us strength to do what He wants.  If we refuse to do the work Irôw gives us to do, we can put ourselves in great danger.  Our disobedience may cause others to suffer as well.

There is nowhere we can run away and hide from Irôw.  Irôw will find us, and punish us, because He loves us and does not us to walk on the path that leads to the Fire.

Here is a story from Irôw’s Book of Prophets about a man just like us who hated a people so much that he refused to help them, even though Irôw told him to do so.

For more information, read the Book of Yunus (Jonah) in the Book of Îrôw.
